After graduating from high school, performing his compulsory military service and completing his dentistry studies in Vienna, Dr. Mario Viden followed his father and several other family members into the challenging profession of a dentist. His family’s enthusiasm for the different areas of work within the medical profession has always been a source of inspiration for him. He grew up with stories about the rewards and trials in the everyday life of a dentist and a dental practice.
During his studies at the Medical University of Vienna, he attended a series of dental hygiene courses in the Department of Parodontology at the University of Graz and worked as a dental hygienist. This brought him into direct contact with the patients early in his academic training, which enabled him to recognise the special role and effectiveness of prophylactic treatment and measures in dentistry.
Dr. Viden opened his private practice after passing the State Examination in 2012. He specialises in tooth conservation through endodontic treatment and long-term caries treatment with ceramic inlays, implantology and aesthetic dentistry.
In 2014 he introduced a state-of-the-art system for computer-aided design and manufacture (CAD/CAM) for crowns and inlays. The project was so successful that since 2016 Dr. Viden has been a representative of the manufacturer Dentsply Sirona and has trained other dentists in the use of CAD/CAM systems.
He further extended his surgical expertise by obtaining the advanced diploma in implantology from the Austrian Chamber of Dental Surgeons. In 2017 he completed a one-year course in endodontics (endodontics curriculum of the Austrian Endodontics Society). This expertise is regularly updated through advanced refresher courses.
As a young and committed dentist he attaches particular importance to patient information and counselling.
